Going Back to School

“Going back to school is a time of great anticipation and excitement.”

Kanata-Carleton MPP Merrilee Fullerton has been active in the last few weeks meeting with students, school organizations and administrations as our community prepares for another academic year.

“For students, their parents and the whole of the school community, going back to school is a time of great anticipation and excitement. I want to wish students a good start to your school year, whether you are in K-12, at an Ottawa college or university or at a learning institution.”

"All the best with your studies,” says Merrilee Fullerton.

The MPP joined with community leaders to assist volunteers with Ottawa’s Caring and Sharing program packing 3,000 backpacks with school supplies for under-privilege children (photo above).

Representatives from the Student Association at Ottawa’s College La Cite recently met with MPP Fullerton in her constituency office to express their perspectives and concerns about the up-coming school year (photo above). She had the pleasure to be on the College’s campus to speak at the opening of the new ExCentriCité building – an entrepreneurship and immersive technology facility.

She also recently spoke at a President’s Breakfast gathering on the Algonquin College Campus – and she met with representatives of Willis College to discuss their training programs.
